Terms & Conditions – Hopukia Photography

These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between Hopukia (referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”) and the client (“you”) for photography services. By booking a session with us, you agree to the following terms:
1. Booking & Payment
- A booking is confirmed once we receive written confirmation (email/message) and any applicable deposit.
- Payment terms will be outlined in your invoice. Full payment is typically due on the day of the shoot unless otherwise agreed.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
- In the case of illness or unforeseen circumstances, we will do our best to reschedule your session at no extra charge.
3. Delivery of Photos
- Edited digital photos will be delivered within 7–14 business days unless otherwise agreed.
- Images are delivered via a secure online gallery or direct file transfer.
4. Copyright & Usage
- Hopukia retains the copyright of all photographs taken, unless otherwise agreed.
- Clients receive a non-exclusive licence to use images for personal or commercial purposes, as agreed at booking.
- Images may not be resold or used by third parties without written permission.
5. Portfolio Use
- We may use selected images in our portfolio, website, or social media unless you request otherwise in writing.
6. Client Responsibilities
- You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions to photograph at your chosen location (e.g. private property, school grounds).
- Please ensure pets, products, or spaces are ready before the shoot begins.
7. Liability
- While we take the utmost care, we are not liable for loss, damage, or cancellation caused by events beyond our control (e.g. weather, technical failure).
- If unforeseen circumstances prevent us from completing a shoot, liability is limited to a refund or rescheduled session.
8. Data Protection
- Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
